Updates on Classes - Substitutes and Staffing

You might hear from your child that their class was held in the Cafeteria or Media Center on occasion. This is due to the substitute teacher shortage being experienced across Minnesota and in many places across the country. Students are supervised by administration and other school staff in a larger space. Most coursework is posted for students on Schoology with directions for engaging in new learning, completing assignments, or studying for upcoming tests.  Please reach out to your child's teachers if you have questions about how learning and assignments are handled in their absence.

We also ask you to consider joining our community as a substitute teacher. Our families and close community members often make the best substitutes due to their close connections with our community. Check out opportunities in the human resources section of our district website.
