Message from Principal Thomas
As we progress into the second quarter, we are excited to share updates and reminders to ensure a successful year for your child. Our students have been actively engaged in academics, extracurricular activities, and school events, and we are proud of their hard work and accomplishments.
This quarter, students will delve deeper into their studies, focusing on key concepts and skills in each subject. Teachers are dedicated to supporting students’ growth through engaging lessons, hands-on activities, and various assessments that cater to different learning styles.
First-quarter report cards are available on Infinite Campus, and they provide valuable insight into your child’s progress. If you have questions about your child's grades or need additional resources to support their learning, please reach out to their teachers.
Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for Thursday December 5. This is a great opportunity to discuss your child's strengths, areas for growth, and any questions you may have. Conferences will be held from 4:30-7:00 p.m. and will be walk-in style. We encourage you to bring your student with you for conferences. We know there were some families that were unable to attend the conference offerings in October, so if you have not had a conference and have a teacher(s) that you would like to connect with, please attend on December 5th. If December 5th does not work for you, our teachers are always willing to connect at any time with families, so feel free to reach out at any time to talk with them about your child's progress.
We have several exciting events planned for this quarter, including:
- Student Leadership - Grand re-opening of the PAW Store Nov. 15th at 9am
- Turkey Bingo - November 21 after-school
- Flex Fun – December 12, during the school day
- Movie Night - January 14th, after-school
Upcoming Holiday Breaks:
- Holiday Break – November 28th and 29th
- Winter Break – December 23 - January 3rd, 2025
*Please keep an eye on our school’s website and newsletter for upcoming events*
We value your partnership in making this a rewarding school year for all our students. Thank you for your continued support and involvement in Plymouth Middle School. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 763-504-7100.
Warm regards,
Tamiko Thomas, Ed.S

Flex Days and After School Activitiy Nights
We have planned the schedule for our Flex Days and Activity Nights. Flex days use an alternative schedule to give students a choice period at the end of the day. Activity Nights are after school from the end of the day until 5:30pm, and the activity changes each month. Students who stay for activity night may ride the activity bus or get picked up.

Technology Guidelines for the 2024-25 School Year!
After careful consideration and research, we have decided to implement “No Personal Technology Guidelines” during the instructional day at our middle schools. Under these new guidelines, students may not use their personal devices (such as cell phones, airpods, bluetooth headphones, smartwatches, etc.) during the instructional day from 9:20 am - 4:05 pm. All students are provided a locker with a lock for storing their personal items. Reasonable accommodations will be made for students with documented medical, IEP or 504 needs.
