Transportation opt-in survey for 2026-27 school year will open July 1

Robbinsdale Area Schools (Rdale) is entering the fifth year of its opt-in transportation system. The past four school years have demonstrated the opt-in system works because it helps decrease the number of routes while increasing efficiency in our transportation system.

The annual transportation opt-in survey will be included in a new annual update available through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal on July 1. The annual update survey must be completed for each student before the start of the 2026-27 school year. 

The annual update survey will allow families to review and update key information, such as contact information, emergency contacts, opt-outs, and more, all in one place.

Opting in to transportation is an annual requirement for all students—both those who need bus transportation and those who do not. Students who receive specialized transportation do not need to complete the transportation portion of the annual update survey. 

Even though all families must opt in to transportation annually for each student, it is important to note that every student who is eligible for and needs busing will be provided with transportation to and from school. 

Please note that Robbinsdale Area Schools has made adjustments to its busing policy. Families living in Minneapolis will not receive district-provided bus transportation, which you can learn more about by visiting our website.
